Before I bought my iPhone 5 I watched the "Cheese" advertisement on apple.com: http://www.apple.com/iphone/videos/#tv-ads-cheese
I thought it looked like a cute gimmick that would really have little practical use.
However, they may have changed my mind. I gave it a try the other day and I was very impressed.
This is a shot from Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake, looking west at sunrise. I didn't have my Canon with me so I decided to see what the phone could do. Not bad. I took this with the HDR mode on and in panorama mode. It is amazing how well it stitched the photos together. I had to crop it and clean up the colors in Aperture a little bit, but other than that, this is pretty much how it came out of the camera.
