Bird 3

Of the three, this one is my favorite shot.

Bird 2

Second one in the series Note: I had a goal to post 150 pictures on this blog this year.  The rule was that I could post no more than 1 picture a day.  This is picture #150.  I hope you have enjoyed them as much as I have.  The reason behind my goal relates to the saying that "a writer, writes".   So I would assume that if a person wants to get better at photography then they need to take a lot of pictures.  This blog was my way of keeping me focused on a hobby that I enjoy.  Thanks again for looking in and providing feedback this year.

Bird 1

This is the first in a short series of pictures of this bird that landed at the pond in front of our house.  Sometimes I wish I knew more about birds so that I could tell you what kind of bird this is.

Timp at Sunrise

One more shot of Mt. Timpanogos at sunrise.

Wild flowers

Here is an HDR of the wildflowers before the sun came up.

Timp at Sunrise

I took this picture of Mt. Timpanogos at sunrise.  It is a 3 shot HDR.

Stream over the rocks

This is almost a waterfall.  Maybe it will be one when it grows up.

Lavender and Yellow

A splash of color.  Even imperfect flowers need their day in the sun.

Red Flower

Another flower picture that I took on the trail to Mt. Timpanogos.

Another flower on the way to Timpanogos

Mountain Scenery

Looking to the northeast from the trail to Mount Timpanogos.

Scout Falls

This next series of photos are from a hike I took to the top of Mount Timpanogos.  It was a fantastic hike! In fact, I would say it is one of the best hikes I have ever been on.  This shot is of Scout Falls.

White Flower

Fletcher Dog

Here is a picture of our dog at Lake Alice.  By the time we hiked home, he was one tired pup.

Lake Alice 4

Another shot of Lake Alice Wyoming

Pond

What can I say about a pond in the forest?  Oh, here is a pond in the forest.

Lake Alice 3

Another shot of a beautiful lake.

Elephant Trunk

Look closely and you will see a baby elephant.
